The tour begins by visiting the Royal Chapel commissioned by the Catholic Monarchs and built in florid gothic style, and here we find the mausoleums of Isable and Ferdinand and their children Phillilp "the Beautiful" and Joan "the Mad". The Cathedral stands next to the Chapel and is considered as the first renaissance church in Spain. We shall continue along Gran Via passing the Gardens of Triunfo and Hospital Real, to reach the Carthusian Monastery, a Baroqyue masterpiece, started in 1505 and spanning over three centuries, highlighting the Sanctum Sanctorum masterpiece (Holy of Holies) and the Sacristy.
Our Journey will continue to the Albaizin through its narrow, winding streets and Moorish corners to reach either the viewpoints of Saint Carístobal or Saint Nicholas (dependig on time and traffic). From here one can experience the authentic beauty of Alhambra, Granada and Sierra Nevada, followed by a visit to Sacromonte, a typical and ancient quarter of cave dwellings where we shall visit one of the most representative, and refreshments will be served. (The journey is by minibus or bus according to the numbers of visitors and on occasions it may be necessary to change vehicle due to narrow streets). The price includes: transport, guide, admission and refreshment.
The accompanying guide shall establish the order of the visit of the monuments depending on time and traffic. If any moment is closed due to reason beyon de agency's control it shall be viewed from the outside. If access to any monuments is restricted, another site or place of interest shall be visited, without the possibility of these alterations incurring a total or partial refund of the paid price, unless in the case of total cancellation of the visit. At the beginning of the visit or excursion and aware of any possible alterations or modifications, the visitors shall have the possibility to leave the group. |
